The rehab is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">one of 200</a> non-hospital facilities in California to provide <strong>medically monitored detox services</strong> (including <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/medication-assisted-treatment/" target="_blank">medication-assisted treatment (MAT)</a> for opiate dependence), which make up just 14% of all facilities in the state. Outpatient programs, transitional living, and other <a href="(https://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare</a> options are also offered.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Harmony Place prides itself on offering extensive <strong>individual counseling</strong> (three sessions a week), a range of <strong>evidence-based</strong> therapies, a select offering of <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/find-a-top-holistic-rehab-center/" target="_blank">holistic</a> treatments, and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/did-aa-save-my-life/" target="_blank">12-step</a> facilitation. Most residential stays last <strong>30 days</strong>.</p> <p>In addition to <strong>dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)</strong>, a modality utilized by <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">47% of all treatment facilities in California</a>, treatment practices include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodrama, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and motivational enhancement therapy (MET). <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/find-a-top-holistic-rehab-center/" target="_blank">Holistic</a> activities include chiropractic and <strong>acupuncture</strong> treatments, equine therapy, massage therapy, and <strong>yoga</strong>. The single individual surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing β an employee β gave harmony place just one out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Harmony Place is an intimate center, accommodating just <strong>12 clients at a time</strong> in gender-separate quarters; both private and shared rooms are available. Residents live in an upscale mock Tudor mansion with an <strong>outdoor swimming pool</strong>, a wood-paneled library, a computer lab, and a lounge with a fireplace. The one individual polled by Rehabs.com to date gave the facility three out of five stars for its accommodations, its meals, and its exercise/leisure offerings, and two stars for its cleanliness.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>While Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facilityβs alumni, feedback on secondary sites were mostly positive. Harmony Place earned average ratings of <strong>four out of five stars</strong> based on 13 Yelp reviews <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small>, <strong>4.2 out of five stars</strong> based on 13 Google reviews<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> (five of which were "unrecommended"), and <strong>4.8 out of five stars</strong> based on five Facebook reviews (which the facility has the ability to edit).</p> <p>Most former clients described Harmony Place as an <strong>effective</strong> residential rehab program with attractive grounds, a multitude of amenities, and <strong>dedicated and compassionate staff</strong>. "The amenities are top notch and the actual staff involved in rehabilitation services are mind blowing," Mohammad told Google in a representative review. "The Dr's, Nurses, Chef,and other staff are absolutely AMAZING. Including the CEO."</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>The one staffer surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, gave Harmony Place negative feedback. In addition to claiming that the facility was only interested in making a profit, they awarded the rehab just one or two out of five stars for its counseling options, its treatment of co-occurring disorders, its 12-step facilitation, and its holistic offerings.</p> <p>Of the four current and former staff members who evaluated the Woodland Hills facility on Indeed<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-4"><sup>[4]</sup></a></small>, two gave it positive feedback and two gave it negative feedback. The satisfied staffers β a residential advisor and a personal assistant β described the facility as comfortable and group-oriented. The two negative reviewers β a primary therapist and a general clinician β felt that the program was unstructured and that management was money-hungry.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, Harmony Place accepts all <strong>PPO insurance</strong> plans, and some HMOs and EPOs.
