<p><strong>ABOUT 5 RESIDENTIAL</strong></p> <p>One of five luxury sober-living facilities in California, 5 Residential offers residential programs with spiritual leanings. <br /> The facility offers varying lengths of stay, but is able to accommodate long-term residencies, <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">one of only 33.9 percent of facilities in California to do so</a>. This facility, located in West Hollywood, is owned and operated by two women who have worked many years in the recovery field.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The organization is built on the principles of “spiritual awakening” and “psychic change” in connection with the 12-Steps. In addition to residential programs, 5 Residential can provide referrals to local intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) for those clients who require more intensive treatment than sober-living alone.</p> <p>In line with its moniker, 5 Residential bases its treatment on five principles: to thine own self be true; love without condition; non-judgment; non-violation; and consciousness. All residents are required to participate in 12-step meetings and adopt a sponsor. Part of treatment involves completing daily breathalyzer tests and submitting to random drug tests. There are also <strong>weekly relapse prevention workshops</strong> on-site. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>5 Residential is run by two women who reportedly have many years of experience in the field of recovery/ Each facility is staffed 24 hours a day. Clients can also enjoy weekly outings to the beach, movies, and barbeques, as well as <strong>meals prepared by an on-site chef.</strong> Transportation is provided to 12-Step meetings, IOP programs, and doctors appointments. Though the residents are granted flexibility to leave, there is a strict curfew.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>A sole alum submitted a review to Rehabs.com. The alum gave a mixed review, but rated the treatment five out of five stars.
