<p><strong>ABOUT THE WAY BACK- SAN DIEGO, CA</strong></p> <p>The Way Back, located in San Diego, Calif., offers <strong>residential treatment to adult men struggling with alcoholism</strong>. The facility is a service of the County of San Diego Mental Health Services which provides a variety of services including mental health treatment, alcohol, and other drug services to around 73,000 residents of San Diego County each year. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>In order to be admitted, clients must be <strong>18 years of age or older</strong> and a <strong>resident of California</strong> with a California Identification Card. The average length of stay at the residential rehabilitation program is not provided by The Way Back but, the facility does indicate that an <strong>independent living option</strong> is available to clients following <strong>six months of sobriety</strong>. Typically clients will transition into the independent living facility following residential treatment. </p> <p>The facility’s treatment program follows the <strong>12-Step method</strong> of treatment including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. Throughout treatment, clients participate in <strong>AA meetings, receive individual, group, and family therapy options, and receive referrals to community resources</strong> to help support them in their sobriety.
