Dually diagnosed clients also meet with a psychiatrist within 72 hours of admission. If necessary, clients may undergo medical detoxification before participating in core programming. The Landing utilizes medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone and Vivitrol, to minimize the discomfort of withdrawal.

Programming is divided into three levels: the residential program, partial hospitalization program (PHP), and the intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients are also introduced to the 12-step model of recovery and regularly attend 12-step meetings within the community.

To treat co-occurring mental health concerns, the Landing facilitates specialized support groups, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) sessions to address trauma-related issues, and ongoing medication management. Clients may also participate in hypnotherapy, art and music therapy, and family counseling sessions. To involve loved ones in the process of recovery, the facility also offers a family program.

Once a client completes residential care, clinicians will encourage the client to transition into PHP or IOP. Clients continue to live at the facility during PHP, though IOP allows clients to reside off-site. These less-intensive levels of care are only available to men who have recently completed the residential program.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The Landing staff includes a physician, board-certified psychiatrist, nurses, licensed therapist, certified substance abuse counselors, marriage and family therapy interns, and clinical technicians.
