SHORT-TERM CRISIS PROGRAM – MANZANITA HOUSE</strong></p> <p>Founded in 1975, Interim, Inc. is <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/2016_NSSATS.pdf" target="_blank">one of California’s 785 private, non-profit facilities</a> and provides <strong>adults seeking treatment for mental illness</strong> with a range of support options, including housing, homeless outreach, family outreach, social support, employment opportunities, and more. The Manzanita House, which is located in Salinas, Calif., provides <strong>short-term housing and community-based treatment for adults</strong> with significant psychiatric disabilities. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Manzanita House is intended to serve as an <strong>alternative to residential psychiatric care</strong> for clients with mental disabilities. The <strong>home-like facility</strong> provides clients with a non-institutional but structured environment where they can <strong>develop coping skills</strong> and learn how to avoid relapse and recurring crisis situations. </p> <p><strong>Clients must be referred from other facilities</strong>. The facility receives referrals from the Monterey County Health Department's Behavioral Health Division, Adult Services Division, and Interim programs.
