<p><strong>ABOUT HILLTOP RECOVERY SERVICES MEN’S CENTER</strong></p> <p>Hilltop Recovery Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to treating individuals struggling with substance abuse and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. The facility in Clearlake Oaks, Calif., provides <strong>residential treatment environment for adult men</strong>. The social model groups incorporate <strong>12-step meetings and peer support groups</strong> to correct social behaviors that lead to substance abuse. By creating a <strong>community-based treatment method</strong> within the facility, clients learn new social behaviors that contribute to healthy and sober living skills development. </p> <p>Educational sessions focus on <strong>developing coping skills</strong> needed to successfully transition clients back into the community. These courses address <strong>anger management</strong>, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, <strong>nurturing parenting</strong>, and more. Clients participate in courses based on their individual assessment and treatment plans. </p> <p>After successfully completing residential treatment, clients can transition into Hilltop Recovery Services’ <strong>intensive outpatient program (IOP) or standard outpatient (OP) option</strong> in neighboring Lucerne as well as sober living environments in the community. Continued treatment planning and referrals to local support groups and other services also are available, as needed. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The facility currently does not post information regarding its treatment staff on its website, other than noting “All employees of Hilltop Recovery Services have been trained to deal with crisis intervention.” However, it is likely that staff members are highly experienced in working with clients with extensive legal/criminal and substance abuse backgrounds.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Hilltop Recovery Services Men’s facility, on the shores of Clear Lake, has <strong>61 beds</strong> for adult men. To date, the one individual polled by Rehab.com on the matter gave the facility a four out of five-star rating for the facility's cleanliness, though described the facility as “a little run-down.” Visitors with prior approval may see clients at scheduled times on Sundays. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two alumni polled by Rehabs.com to date both praised the facility. "The services offered at this facility are better than those of any program I've ever attended," alum Cameron wrote. On Facebook, alumni, <strong>praised the staff and reported life-changing and life-saving results</strong> from their treatment. “Every one I met while I was there has made such a huge impact on my life and I am forever great full!” C.W., a representative reviewer, wrote. </p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing submitted a moderately favorable review of Hilltop Recovery Services Men's Center. P.W., the mother of a client who was court ordered to attend the facility. “With the help of the rehab counselors he is going for recovery. This is the best and most affordable and remote area for my son.” </p> <p>P.W. awarded positive ratings to a number of evaluated metrics, including perfect five stars for pricing and staff support, four stars for facility cleanliness and upkeep, and three stars for aftercare and holistic offerings. However, they gave two stars for family involvement. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to information on the facility’s website, fees for residential treatment are <strong>$3,600 per month</strong>, expected to be paid upon admission.
