Specialized programming is also available to address adoption-related concerns.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the facility’s website, both the minimum <strong>90-day residential program</strong> and PACE Recovery Center’s transitional living program involve <a href="https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/principles-drug-addiction-treatment-research-based-guide-third-edition/evidence-based-approaches-to-drug-addiction-treatment/behavioral-4" target="_blank">12-step facilitation</a>, individual and group psychotherapy, life skills development, medication management (as applicable), and physical activity. Along with achieving sobriety and mental health stability, all approaches are applied within a central goal of helping men to <strong>develop self-esteem and positive attitudes</strong> </p> <p>Treatment modalities applied at PACE address relationships, spirituality, goals, grief and loss, and anger management, among other topics. The facility is among the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/dasis2/nssats/2017_nssats_rpt.pdf" target="_blank">29 percent</a> nationwide that are <a href="http://www.carf.org/home/" target="_blank">CARF</a>-certified.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>According to <a href="https://data.chhs.ca.gov/dataset/dhcs-licensed-residential-facilities-and-or-certified-alcohol-and-drug-programs/resource/1cbf39c4-0674-4dce-8f6f-4ff24eb8074e" target="_blank">California state data</a>, PACE Recovery Center is licensed to provide detox services at a six-bed Huntington Beach residence, as well as longer-term treatment at five additional six-bed homes.</p> <p>Pictures on the PACE website indicated a modern, comfortable setting with open kitchen plans and <strong>semi-private bedrooms</strong>. Recreational activities are prioritized, including hiking, <strong>bungee jumping, surfing, paintball</strong>, whale watching, and museums. They indicated that their loved one’s program was heavily based on 12-Step.</p> <p>A majority of Google’s 32 reviews (averaging <strong>4.8 out of five stars</strong>) were from family members, with a few from professional associates of PACE. All but one review was very positive. Positive feedback frequently indicated that the PACE program was life-saving. Family members also praised what one called an “all encompassing treatment plan,” referring to their sons thriving in many areas, including education, work, and family.
