The center is one of 197 non-hospital substance abuse treatment facilities in California (<a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA17.pdf" target="_blank">15 percent</a>) to provide medical detox.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Clear Detox Center is equipped to help clients detox from a wide range of substances, including alcohol, benzodiazepines, heroin, meth, opiates, and cocaine. All clients are medically supervised and <strong>individually treated</strong> to ensure a safe and successful outcome. </p> <p>Detox lasts a <strong>maximum of 30 days</strong>, though stays typically range from <strong>seven to 10 days</strong>. While receiving <strong>medical supervision</strong> and medications to relieve withdrawal symptoms, clients are required to participate in <strong>individual counseling and group therapy</strong>, as well as educational seminars on topics such as infectious disease, teenage pregnancy, and smoking. In 2017, <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA17.pdf" target="_blank">44 percent</a> of substance abuse treatment facilities in California offered smoking cessation services.</p> <p>The facility will also take medically cleared clients to off-site <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-a-non-religious-journalist-makes-a-case-for-aa-in-2017/" target="_blank">12-step</a> meetings, although attendance is not required.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Although there is no information available regarding staff credentials, <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/report_3059/ShortReport-3059.pdf" target="_blank">98 percent</a> of substance abuse treatment facilities in California have continuing education requirements for staff. The one alum surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility five out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience, adding: Counselor's were very professional and understandin with all of my needs."</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Set in a small, single-story house, clients stay in simply decorated, <strong>shared bedrooms.</strong> Computers, cell phones, and other personal/electronic devices are not permitted, however 15-minute phone calls are allowed from the facility's phone. <strong>Yoga is offered on-site</strong>, and medically cleared clients who have been in detox for at least seven days are treated to <strong>off-site activities</strong>, such as movies, visits to the zoo or museum, and/or trips to the local farmer's market.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>J.B., the sole alum surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, gave Clear Detox Center a highly positive review, awarding the facility four or five out of five stars across all evaluated metrics, including treatment effectiveness, holistic offerings, family participation, and counseling options. "The Staff was very understanding and helpful.
