DBA – JASON’S RETREAT FOR MEN</strong></p> <p>Bakersfield Recovery Services Inc. is a private nonprofit agency, which comprises <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">54.9 percent of all facilities in California</a>, and operates Jason’s Retreat for Men, one of 695 facilities in the state exclusively <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/CA16.pdf" target="_blank">designed for adult men struggling with substance use</a>. During all phases, clients are subject to drug and alcohol screening.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Jason’s Retreat employs four certified substance abuse counselors for the residential program and others for the IOP. Support staff supervises the residence and transports clients to appointments and services.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The primary residence of Jason’s Retreat is a <strong>30-bed, two-story facility</strong> with a large dining hall, full-sized kitchen, exercise room, and outdoor patio. Photographs sourced from the facility's website suggest that clients share <strong>double-occupancy bedrooms</strong>. The organization leases nearby single-family homes as sober living facilities. <strong>Families may visit</strong> on Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Monday Family Nights. This individual described counselors as “uptight.”</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>A staff member polled by Rehabs.com to date provided mainly favorable feedback about Jason’s Retreat, offering four-star ratings for the facility's affordability, counseling options, and discharge planning. However, they offered three stars for the facility's overall cleanliness. “It was really good place with friendly peaple,” the employee wrote.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Although treatment cost information was not available at the time of this writing, Jason’s Retreat receives public funding and maintains ongoing fundraising, suggesting that treatment is available regardless of the client's ability to pay.
