Each patient's length of stay varies depending upon each patient's unique needs, but a <strong>90-day stay is often recommended</strong> as the most effective for attaining long-term sobriety. </p> <p>Treatment combines <strong>12-step methodology</strong> with <strong>evidence-based practices,</strong> including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Patients participate in individual therapy, <strong>group and family counseling</strong>, wellness focused groups, and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings, as well as relapse prevention and skill-building groups. </p> <p>Laguna Treatment Hospital also utilizes <strong>American Addiction Center’s unique recovery curriculum, Change: Recovery for Life</strong>, which focuses on the treatment of co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders.
