<p><strong>ABOUT BAXTER REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER</strong></p> <p>Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AR16.pdf" target="_blank">87 (77 percent)</a> nonprofit treatment facilities in Arkansas. Located in the small, northern city of Mountain Home, BRMC also operates 17 clinics in the area. Among the services available at this <strong>acute-care medical hospital campus</strong> is a <strong>short-term detox program</strong> — First Step — for individuals struggling with withdrawal from alcohol and pain medications. The one criticism this individual noted was that the "security could be better," and the single low rating that they gave was two stars for holistic offerings. Otherwise, this loved one awarded four stars to the counseling options, the admissions and discharge procedures, and whether or not the facility was worth the cost. <strong>Five-stars were given for everything else</strong>, including family participation and the center's ability to treat co-occurring disorders. When questioned about facility strengths, they wrote, "small center" because it "can treat the patients one on one."
