ABOUT YOUTH BRIDGE, INC.

Serving a nine-county area in northern Arkansas, Youth Bridge, Inc. is a nonprofit agency dedicated to treating youth and their families with substance abuse and behavioral health disorders. About 77 percent of all treatment centers in Arkansas are non-profit, and about 23 percent of centers offer substance abuse and mental health services. Headquartered out of Fayetteville, the state-licensed organization provides residential and outpatient care and school-based and preventative and outreach services throughout Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Marion, Madison, Newton, and Washington counties.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to Youth Bridge's website, it operates three residential programs. The Journey House is a residential program for males aged 14 to 18, and The Bell House is a “foster home” for girls aged 16 to 18 in the Department of Children and Family Services who have either run away or are without stable housing.

Programming takes a multi-disciplinary approach, offering teens education and counseling groups for substance abuse, independent living skills training, anger management sessions, and more. Open year-round and 24 hours a day, the nonprofit’s Emergency Shelter helps at-risk youth meet their basic and advanced needs.

Outpatient services here are manifold. Counseling helps families, parents, and persons dealing with grief, behavioral issues, sexual trauma, and other issues. Children in need of help at school may receive tutoring, mentoring, and social and life skills education. Psychological testing and psychiatric services are also on offer in schools across northern Arkansas. Additional services include behavioral management interventions, aftercare planning, and Bully Busters, an educational program dedicated to raising awareness to end bullying.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The nonprofit’s website notes the experienced team includes licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselors (LADACs), master’s level social workers, and specialists certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. The loved one surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave four out of five stars for the staff's level of training and experience.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

There is currently no information provided by the nonprofit regarding the living arrangements and related offerings of its three residential programs, though the single Rehabs.com survey respondent left three out of five stars for accommodations and amenities.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Rehabs.com has yet to receive any reviews from the nonprofit’s former clients, however, secondary sites revealed overwhelmingly positive feedback.

To date, the 25 people who left reviews on Youth Bridge's Facebook page, which the center has the ability to manage, gave an average of 4.7 out of five stars.
