<p><strong>ABOUT COMMUNITY BRIDGES, INC. RESIDENTIAL & OUTPATIENT - YUMA LIGHTHOUSE</strong></p> <p>Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI), is a <strong>nonprofit organization</strong> that operates nearly 30 different programs throughout Arizona. <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AZ17.pdf" target="_blank">One of just 175 (51.3 percent) nonprofits in the state</a>, CBI’s Yuma Lighthouse provides <strong>fully integrated residential and outpatient treatment for adults</strong> struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Yuma Lighthouse is also <strong>designated as an LGBT Safe Space</strong> and offers services regardless of a client's ability to pay.</p> <p><strong>Ambulatory detox services are available on-site</strong> while CBI offers medical detox services at its <a href="http://www.rehabs.com/listings/community-bridges-inc-central-city-addiction-recovery-center-2091412703/" target="_blank">Central City Addiction Recovery</a> in Phoenix, just three hours away.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>All clients undergo an <strong>initial substance assessment and psychiatric evaluation</strong> to help clinicians determine an appropriate level of care. The residential program typically lasts between 14 and 60 days, offering <strong>ongoing assessments and adjustments</strong> as needed.</p> <p>The nonprofit agency works by building on an individual's strengths and <strong>addressing their medical and psychiatric needs</strong> thorough a curriculum of community-based social services. Each week, clients attend <strong>evidence-based group, individual, and family therapy sessions</strong> as well as skills training and educational classes. Other services include <strong>medication-assisted therapy (MAT)</strong>, peer support, and comprehensive discharge planning.</p> <p>Upon completion of residential care, clients are strongly encouraged to step down into <strong>outpatient treatment to strengthen their relapse prevention skills</strong>. Outpatient treatment is available at both <strong>intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard levels</strong> and has services that are similar to that in residential care. Counseling and other services are provided through CBI's TeleHealth System.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Most staff at Yuma Lighthouse hold masters level degrees. The team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, licensed substance abuse counselors, and peer specialists.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Yuma Lighthouse can <strong>accommodate as many as 24 individuals at a time</strong>. Further details regarding the center’s living arrangements are limited, the sole Rehabs.com survey respondent to date shared three out of five stars for the accommodations, meals, exercise and leisure options, and four stars for upkeep.</p> <p>According to <a href="http://treatment-facilities.healthgrove.com/l/18653/Community-Bridges-Inc" target="_blank">Healthgrove</a>, certain staff members at CBI are fluent in ASL, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, and Tagalog.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>In the sole Rehabs.com survey to date, an anonymous former client indicated that the treatment they received was effective, Awarding four out of five stars for the staff’s level of training and experience, the counseling options, and the <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">treatment of co-occurring mental health disorders</a>, the alum was less than pleased with the faith-based and holistic components to treatment.</p> <p>On Google, where CBI at Yuma Lighthouse has an excellent average rating of 3.8 out of five stars from 17 individuals, <strong>reviewers collectively described the staff as friendly and helpful, caring and compassionate</strong>.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> “You will get exactly what you come for,” wrote D.B., in a more nuanced three-star statement. “This depends fully on you. I will say they have an excellent staff,” he told Google. </p> <p>Complaints cited long waiting times prior to beginning treatment, understaffing, and a money-hungry leadership.</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p><strong>On Indeed, where half a dozen CBI employees shared their experience working with the facility, feedback was mostly positive</strong>. While some claimed they wouldn’t recommend the center, others gave five out of five stars, applauding a <strong>staff who worked together in a fast-paced environment</strong> to serve clients. One employee was proud they were “able to help others believe that they can live a different life, restore relationships with their families, and be successful in life.”<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small></p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>A United Way partner, Yuma Lighthouse at CBI is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AZ17.pdf" target="_blank">one of just 132 (38.7 percent) facilities in the state of Arizona to offer treatment at no charge</a> for those unable to pay.
