<p><strong>ABOUT CODAC HEALTH, RECOVERY, & WELLNESS- LAS AMIGAS- TUCSON, AZ</strong></p> <p>CODAC Health, Recovery &amp; Wellness - Las Amigas, located in Tucson, Ariz., offers <strong>residential treatment for adult women ages 18 and older struggling with substance abuse</strong>. The facility gives priority admission to those who are pregnant, recently gave birth, or are parenting children while still actively abusing substances. </p> <p>Las Amigas is a part of the CODAC network, an organization with 11 locations throughout the Arizona. The mission of the CODAC is to <strong>provide tools, support, and services to the community</strong> so that they can live free of the harmful effects of mental illness, substance abuse and trauma. The CODAC organization also provides a variety of services, including primary medical care, to its clients. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The facility’s treatment program takes a <strong>holistic approach</strong> to recovery, considering each client’s <strong>social, psychological, and physical needs</strong> at all times throughout treatment. In order to be admitted, clients should contact the facility directly to determine if residential treatment is right for them. <strong>Priority admission is given to pregnant or parenting women</strong> as well as to women who are <strong>homeless, have histories of sexual or physical abuse, or are in the criminal justice system</strong>. </p> <p>Throughout treatment, clients receive <strong>individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy</strong>. Clients also work on learning life skills, attend parenting classes, and learn about relapse prevention following treatment. Those in need may also take classes to help them <strong>quit smoking or using tobacco products</strong>. </p> <p>Las Amigas staff will help coordinate medical care and early childhood education services for the children of women in treatment. Following completion of the program, clients are connected with community resources to help support them and help them to maintain sobriety as they return to their community.
