<p><strong>ABOUT ST. LUKE’S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Phoenix, Arizona, St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Center provides both <strong>inpatient</strong> and <strong>outpatient</strong> treatment to adults and adolescents struggling with substance use disorder, mental health problems, or <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. It's <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AR16.pdf" target="_blank">one of just two hospital-based inpatient programs</a> in Arizona, and <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AR16.pdf" target="_blank">one of only six Arizona facilities</a> to offer <strong>detox services</strong> in a hospital setting.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>St. Luke’s takes a <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/find-a-top-holistic-rehab-center/" target="_blank">holistic</a> approach to healing that “addresses each person’s physiological, psychological, spiritual and social needs.” There are separate inpatient programs for adults and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/is-my-child-just-experimenting/" target="_blank">teens (ages 13 to 17)</a>, both of which include <strong>group therapy</strong>, one-on-one counseling, <strong><a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/did-aa-save-my-life/" target="_blank">12-step</a> facilitation</strong>, and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/sad-lets-talk-about-seasonal-affective-disorder-and-relapse/" target="_blank">relapse prevention</a> training. They also utilize <strong>cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)</strong>, provide 24-hour monitoring, and offer comprehensive discharge planning.</p> <p>An <strong>outpatient program is available for adults</strong> and used as either a step-down from inpatient care or as a stand-alone treatment plan. It includes group counseling and addiction education, as well as <strong>multi-<a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/the-pain-of-addiction-in-the-family-how-counseling-can-help/" target="_blank">family therapy</a></strong>, medication management, and drug and alcohol testing.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team includes nurse practitioners, <strong>licensed addictionologists</strong>, licensed masters-level counselors, licensed social workers, and other addiction specialists. The four alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave St. Luke's average ratings for its accommodations and amenities.</p> <blockquote> <p>Accommodations &amp; amenities: 3/5</p> </blockquote> <p>During their stay, patients are not accessible by phone. Visiting hours are 6 to 8 p.m. for adults and 6 to 7 p.m. for children and adolescents, seven days per week. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>To date, the majority of clients surveyed by Rehabs.com (three out of four) gave St. Luke's <strong>positive feedback</strong> and noted that they would recommend the facility to friends and family. In general, staff were highly praised.
