ABOUT CROSSROADS EAST FOR MEN

Crossroads is a substance abuse treatment organization with several locations throughout Phoenix, Ariz. Crossroads East For Men, which opened in 1960, provides residential substance abuse treatment for adult men, and is one of the 159 facilities in Arizona to do so. The length of stay is offered in two phases: a primary 30-day phase, followed by a longer-term 90-day treatment option. Detox is not available onsite.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The program at Crossroads East is highly structured and based on the 12-Steps. The 12-step program is used in 73% of facilities across the country for its holistic and continuing care components. Programming also includes relapse prevention workshops, life skills education, and addiction education.

Clients also have access to intensive employment services and financial education. Employment services like vocational training can be a major benefit to clients that need guidance on starting a sober lifestyle. Vocational training and assistance are only offered at 38.6% of treatment facilities in the U.S..

Comprehensive aftercare and discharge planning is also part of treatment at Crossroads East for Men. Clients work with counselors to develop a long-term recovery plan that they can self-manage outside of treatment.

Throughout all five campuses of The Crossroads, there are more than 100 12-step and SMART Recovery meetings held each week. The Crossroads East facility has a large meeting hall that can hold up to 200 people and frequently hosts these events. Alumni often return to attend meetings on-site, giving clients the opportunity to become comfortable within a support group setting and to prepare for re-entrance into the community.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team of Crossroads includes administrative staff, such as an executive director, a clinical quality specialist, and program directors and coordinators.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

The facility's website notes the 48-bed facility offers modest accommodations, with bedrooms that each sleep four and contain bathrooms, showers, dressers, lockers, closets, televisions, and personal work spaces. The campus includes laundry facilities, a large dining hall, computers for job searches, and a large courtyard for communal gathering. The facility also has a large meeting hall that hosts many of the client and alumni meetings.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Rehabs.com has yet to receive alumni feedback to date, though secondary sources revealed highly positive feedback.
