<p><strong>ABOUT CAMELBACK RECOVERY</strong></p> <p>Camelback Recovery is a for-profit facility, which make up about <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AZ17.pdf" target="_blank">40 percent</a> of all treatment facilities in Arizona. Camelback Recovery operates six gender-specific traditional recovery homes for those 18 and older in Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona. Two structured, <strong>safe sober living facilities</strong> — Sojourn Community and Hayden House — are available for men recovering from chemical dependence and substance abuse. Women can reside at Arcadia House, Raintree House, or Serenity Ranch.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Camelback Recovery's website, it's not a treatment center, but it is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AZ17.pdf" target="_blank">one of the 202 (59.2 percent) of Arizona treatment facilities</a> that incorporates the <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-a-non-religious-journalist-makes-a-case-for-aa-in-2017/" target="_blank">12-Steps</a> into individualized programs. While residing at the <strong>drug-free sober living house,</strong> clients will attend the intensive outpatient program (IOP) of their choice. </p> <p>Clients will spend 32 hours per week working, volunteering, attending school or intensive outpatient programming (IOP). House managers work with clients to find employment and volunteer opportunities. Clients are also expected to <strong>attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) twice per week and attend 12-step meetings daily.</strong> Staff members will help residents find a 12-step sponsor.</p> <p>Clients must submit to drug testing twice a week and random breathalyzers. The treatment center is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/AZ17.pdf" target="_blank">one of the 164 (48.1 percent) of Arizona centers</a> that offers breathalyzers. Residents will participate in exercise (yoga, spinning, and CrossFit), meditation, and off-site meetings.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Camelback Recovery’s staff includes sober companions, admissions specialists, and house managers. The loved one polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave five out of five stars for the staff's level of training and experience. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p><strong>Homes operated by Camelback Recovery offer upscale accommodations, shared and private suites, fully equipped kitchens, and private backyards with outdoor dining.</strong> Photos on the facility’s website show sunny, modern homes with internet access, computers, and printers. Meals are served five nights per week.</p> <p>Though specific leisure and recreation activities vary location to location, homes are close to public transportation, restaurants, and other attractions. They noted the staff were “Very helpful and knowledgeable.” The single respondent at this time of writing gave perfect five-star ratings for the facility’s accommodations, family participation, holistic offerings, exercise and counseling options, and affordability.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p><strong>All five homes operated by Camelback Recovery cost $5,700 for three months of treatment.</strong> Exceptions for 30-day treatment (that costs $2,500) and 60-day treatment (for $4,500) may be made.</p> <p>Rates are collected monthly and include accommodations, utilities, laundry services, food, and drug testing.
